Ninety-Nine Cents

Ninety-Nine Cents The book industry has some very good writers as well as authors.  Yes, there is a difference between the two.  I’ll break it down for you. A writer is someone who has written a story or an article, whether for publication or not.  An author is someone who has put their name to a story or an article.  A writer can be a freelance writer, a ghost writer, and even an author.  An author is the one who gets all the credit for the writing of a story or an article. The question of the day is, “Why would an author sell their published works for $0.99 cents?  Is there work not of value?  Why belittle the writer and the author?  Would you allow your employer to pay you $0.99 an hour for an eight hour day of work or even $0.15 cents a day?  No, you would not…that would be an insult to your knowledge and your intelligence.  Then why would you allow you to pay yourself so little?” Now let’s touch on FREE for a momen...

Good Day Christopher.  Thank you for joining us. 1.      Share with the us, who and what inspires you to write? Apart from an ever demanding bank manager and a constant flow of unpayable bills, my main inspiration comes from a desire to give entertainment and a certain amount of enlightenment to as many people as possible. 2.    Why did you choose the genre that you write in?       I don’t have a genre as such and I like to write across as wide a spectrum as possible. It evolved over about two years, from conception to publication 4.     When you are not writing what are you doing? Housework, shopping, gardening. All the mundane things have to be done but if I have to pick a favourite pastime...

   1.          Share with the group, who and what inspires  you to write? Since I can remember, I always had a passion to write. In 1987 I had a vision that one day I would be writing and publishing books. I tried to write for years, but never gained any traction. In 2011, I received my Board Certification as a Master Christian Life Coach and a close friend of mine suggested that I write a book as a way of establishing my expertise. I published Planned Excellence that year and have never looked back. What inspires me to write is my passion to add value to others and my faith.    2.        Why did you choose the genre that you write in? I tried poetry, fiction, and playwright, but I have learned that my strength is in writing non-fiction. I think I gravitated towards non-fiction because I am able to communicate real life. My struggles are not unique to me. Many others deal with the s...
