Paying it Forward

This is a good time to give away product or services.   I don't mean to give away the farm, so to speak; I mean, discount your product or services to what you feel is a reasonable discount for you and your business.  Hold a drawing or a raffle for your product or services.  Or better yet, give away someone else's product or services.  Now I know you're wondering what I mean by that, it's really simple and I've done it more often than not.  Here goes... Get together with different entrepreneurs, have them donate their product or service which is not the same as your own.  Make a pretty gift basket of the items and then hold a drawing or a raffle for the gift basket.   Or you can raffle the products or services off individually.   This way you are paying it forward, networking and helping another entrepreneur as well as helping yourself.   When asking to partner with others, their product, their business cards and marketing materials go into the basket or to be sent w

Holidays

The holidays will be here before you know it...are you ready? Have you sent out brochures, booklets, pamphlets, etc. to your customers and potential customers?   Are you talking to everyone you meet about the product or service you have or offer?  Not just talking to your friends on Social Networking Sites, but people you come in contact with when you're out and about?  Keep in mind, even though the person you're talking to may not be a potiential customer, that person may know of someone that may be able to use your services or may want to purchase your product.  So, don't discredit the person, let the person pay it forward for you. Some good may come from it. Remember to keep your business cards, marketing materials, and whatever else you use to showcase your business with you at all times and don't be afraid to give them out, people are seeking new things as opposed to the same old, same old.  So, what you have to offer could be fresh and new to them.  Remember the o

Shipping Customers Products

Shipping products to customers When shipping products to customers do you sometimes feel that it's time consuming to go back and forth to the post office just for one maybe two packages?  Do you usually wait until you have enough packages such as three to five packages or more before mailing out the product to your customer, therefore making your customer wait?  Do you feel that by making your customer wait is good customer service? Look at the major stores. When you purchase online from the major stores they give you shipping options.  True, their options are between one to seven business days depending on the option you selection, but have any of the companies stated, "Your product will go out when we have enough orders?"  Well, with being an entrepreneur, you should adapt the same practices such as the big businesses.  Meaning, the Post Office, UPS and the FedEx all will pick up packages right from your front door, and if you're not home you can leave the package(s
